Mazie Hirono, the first Asian American woman elected to the Senate.
“I bring quadruple diversity to the Senate,” Hirono said at a rally earlier in the campaign. “I’m a woman. I’ll be the first Asian woman ever to be elected to the U.S. Senate. I am an immigrant. I am a Buddhist. When I said this at one of my gatherings, they said, ‘Yes, but are you gay?’ and I said, ‘Nobody’s perfect.’”

Andrew Marlowe: On the pilot, we were shooting late and everybody was tired. We had a scene to do, everybody was learning their lines, and Stana took everybody out on the balcony and they started doing their lines in different accents. She insisted on having them do it in different accents. And it was one of those moments where you realize - I’m watching something that’s just magical, it’s gonna be one of those moments that lasts with me. It was great; it was fun, it was playful, it was a spirit of camaraderie when everybody was tired.
Pretty girl. Thinks she can leap tall buildings in a single bound, carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, yet still manages to laugh at some of my jokes.
